Bajrang Baan

श्री बजरंग बाण

Shri Bajrang Baan is an urgent prayer to Lord Hanuman in Awadhi, traditionally attributed to Goswami Tulsidas. Its 34 verses (an opening doha, 32 chaupais and a closing doha) ask Hanuman to rush to the devotee's help and strike down every obstacle, like an arrow ('baan'). Devotees recite it especially on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and in times of fear or difficulty.
