Using Nitya
You may read, recite, print and share pages from Nitya for personal, family, temple, satsang and educational use. Where you can, please share a link to the page, so others get the latest corrected version.
Please do not copy the site wholesale to publish it as your own, pretend to be Nitya, or access the site in a way that slows it down for others. Automated access that follows robots.txt is welcome.
The texts and our work
The sacred texts are traditional and in the public domain. The meanings, notes, summaries, illustrations and design are our own work, © Nitya. Our meanings, notes and summaries are licensed under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 (free for non-commercial use with credit); see the Open data page. The name Nitya and its logo are not part of any licence.
Accuracy
We check every text line by line against named sources and correct confirmed errors quickly. Even so, mistakes can happen, and our meanings are drafts until a scholar reviews them. Please read the disclaimer, and tell us if you find an error.
Other services and links
Some pages include YouTube recordings, ads from Google and links to other websites. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to them. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content.
No warranty
Nitya is provided “as is”, without any warranty. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of the site or from relying on its content.
Changes
We may change, add or remove features, and we may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Nothing here takes away rights you have under the consumer laws of the country where you live.
