Namostu Nalika Nibhananayai नमोऽस्तु नालीकनिभाननायै
Namostu Dugdhodadhi Janma Bhumyai नमोऽस्तु दुग्धोदधिजन्मभूम्यै।
Namostu Somamrita Sodarayai नमोऽस्तु सोमामृतसोदरायै
Namostu Narayana Vallabhayai नमोऽस्तु नारायणवल्लभायै॥
Meaning
Salutations to her whose face is like a lotus. Salutations to her who was born from the ocean of milk. Salutations to the sister of the moon and of nectar. Salutations to the beloved of Narayana.

Why this verse matters
The moon and amrit also rose from the churning of the ocean, so they are called Lakshmi's siblings. Some books add two or three more "Namostu" verses after this one; we give the 18 verses of the standard text.
