About Shri Ramchandra Kripalu Bhaju Man

Vinaya Patrika, 'the letter of petition', is Tulsidas's collection of devotional songs to Ram, written as a humble appeal from the poet's heart. Pada 45, set in Raga Gauri and in the flowing Harigitika metre, is its best-known hymn. The language is a heavily Sanskritised Braj, full of compounds and lotus images ('nav kanj lochan, kanj mukh, kar kanj, pad kanjarunam'). So it sounds almost like Sanskrit, yet it is easy to sing.

Questions

Is this the same Shri Ramchandra Kripalu Bhaju Man that is sung in Hindi?

Yes. These are the same Braj words, written in Punjabi letters so you can read them aloud. It is a transliteration, not a translation into Punjabi. The meaning of each verse is given in English.

How was the Punjabi text prepared?

We keep one checked Devanagari edition (Vinaya Patrika of Goswami Tulsidas, pada 45 (Raga Gauri), Gita Press Gorakhpur edition with Hindi bhavarth, as scanned on Hindi Wikisource (विनय पत्रिका.djvu, pages 79–80); cross-checked against Hindi Wikipedia and BhaktiBharat.com) and write it in Punjabi letters with fixed spelling rules, so every verse matches the original letter for letter. The English-letter line is the common singing spelling.
